Our People

We love to celebrate our people and what they have achieved whilst with us, whether that is after their first few months, or after 5 years! Our Home-Grown Heroes are a great example of what a bit of hard work together with passion can achieve.

Anita Sipos

Assistant Head Housekeeper at Lime Wood

A Hero’s tale

I have been working for the company now for 7 years and in this time I have been promoted 5 times. I started as a Room Attendant and can still remember my first day – I couldn’t speak much English so Lime Wood helped me and hired an English teacher. In 2015 I became Senior Room Attendant, I came to the role and excelled but didn’t want to stop there I worked hard and in 2017 I became Assistant Housekeeper. I have learnt so much and feel very proud of what I have achieved all through the support of the Lime Wood team.

Day to Day Life

Working in this hotel we have friendly and familiar atmosphere, everyone knows everyone, we all work together and help each other. Sometimes you get the chance to see lots of well-known faces, I like to see our returning guests as they recognise you it’s a great feeling when you have created a good relationship with the regulars. We all get the chance to do cross training so we can learn about the other departments which makes us the great team we are.

I love my job because…

No day is ever the same. Each day I am presented with new challenges and situations, which really helps me to stay focused and interested in my job. I also enjoy being able to be as creative as I can and to come up with new ways to delight our guests.

Katherine Fromm

Assistant Restaurant Manager at Lime Wood

A Hero’s tale

Following some time travelling and working in New York I came to Lime Wood in 2015 as a waitress, I was keen to develop my knowledge and experience in a 5 Star setting. After 6 months I was promoted to Restaurant Supervisor, developing my skills and responsibility. Wanting to progress more for I took the chance to cross train in different departments learning the skills to become a manager. The following year I became Assistant Restaurant Manager which challenges me every day using all my knowledge.

Day to Day Life

No day is the same, you get to meet new and interesting people and face challenges you could never expect. The restaurant is involved in many different events, including pop ups with guest chefs, weddings and even festivals. The menu is constantly changing with the seasons, we get to taste and learn about all the food we serve. My role is to make sure everything runs smoothly during service, checking the team know what they need to do and are creating an unforgettable experience for all the guests.

I love my job because…

I love my job because whilst I have progressed I am still learning new things every day. In my time at Lime Wood I have been exposed to a huge amount of training opportunities such as WSET wine and spirits, management training and many more. The F&B team is great to work with and always in high spirits, there’s never a dull day. I love having opportunities to do different things such as working with top chefs especially Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder.
